Why is MWN necessary?
For over 50 years, 3 generations and 200,000 families have proven that they appreciate what MWN has to offer. We exclusively organise sustainable, quality initiatives that are rooted in the field. That way we try to strive for a more humane and caring society.
Our proverbs are our calling card. They incite reflection, deepening and movement. By listening, MWN detects social needs and comes up with solutions. We work in a critical yet constructive, and if necessary, in a confronting fashion. We distribute approximately 8 million proverbs per year.
The head of one of the biggest international advertising agencies in Flanders once said 'Any advertising agency dreams to accomplish what MWN has achieved: It doesn't happen overnight that you reach 200,000 people, who select your message out of the stack of mail they receive every week, hang it on the wall, and even talk about it. You have to earn it.'
Does MWN have a colour?
Few people know that MWN has opted for plurality since its very foundation. Where people find their inspiration belongs to their privacy. Where inspiration is translated into actions, where people live their values, that is MWN's field of activity, there where families, neighbours, colleagues and friends feel a difference.
What does 'without a name' stand for?
'Without a name' stands for the belief that people can achieve great things when they are willing to give it their all without claiming the achievements. We encourage everyone to support the common goal without anyone claiming the results.
'Without a name' also means that MWN stands up for 'nameless people' and makes certain taboo issues a subject of discussion.
And finally 'without a name' means that MWN is not affiliated with any political, philosophical or religious organisation. It refers unmistakebly to the free spirit MWN so deeply cherishes.
MWN has no B-t-B experience.
MWN is a learning organisation. We build transparent and professional structures. To do so, we rely on expertise and know-how from partners in the political, academic and corporate business world. The criteria we use to choose our partners are: their professionalism and integrity.
MWN has been the cradle for 8 larger organisations that are now fully established whithin the social profit sector. They meet both ethical and economic quality criteria and combine sound aid provision and decent management.
Does my contribution make a difference?
Scientific research has shown that, at a certain point, cultural transformation processes reach critical masses. Then, a domino effect occurs. The efforts we have to make to get there may seem like a drop in the ocean, but with your contribution and our perseverance we can bring about 'change'.
Those who give the best of themselves, give enough. Consequently, you can contribute to MWN in many different ways: you can donate time, commitment and material or financial support, which helps us organise our initiatives.
When do I receive my donation certificate?
MWN is recognized by the Belgian government and is entitled to provide donation certificates. Donations over €30,00 are tax-deductible in Belgium, whether they are single contributions or plural contributions, which, combined, mount up to €30,00. MWN delivers the donation certificates in March of the subsequent year (only applicable in Belgium)
